The beauty industry, to which we belong, has traditionally focused primarily on the immediate effects of products, attractive packaging, and increasing consumption. At the same time, it has been characterized using ingredients that are or can be harmful to both consumers and those who work with the products on a daily basis (such as hairdressers). This has led to allergies, hormonal disruptions, work-related injuries, and a negative impact on climate and the environment. 

The world has become enormously complex, and it is difficult for consumers to determine whether companies' claims about their products are true or not. Health authorities, consumer organizations, and consumers themselves have increased their focus on the beauty industry's impact on health and the environment, and we can see some early signs of structural improvements. However, greenwashing has become a significant and growing problem. Many companies attempt to capture consumers' attention without actually or only to a limited extent changing the content, packaging, and production. Instead, misleading and deliberately false remarks and claims are used, which are either illegal or incomplete and not enforced by authorities. The legislation regarding labeling and claims is not particularly restrictive or comprehensive, which means that consumers do not have the opportunity to make an informed and conscious choice. If a company wants to contribute to solving the world's common challenges, we see it as a crucial task to help our customers make decisions based on an informed and transparent basis.

 For this reason, we strive to be as open as possible about the things we do. When we say that our products, for example, are healthier, more natural, or allergy-friendly, our customers should be able to trust that. Therefore, our claims about our products are based on four recognized external and independent certifications that certify our products in relation to health and the environment: the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, AllergyCertified, Ecocert COSMOS Organic, and Vegan Society. Each certification has its own significance and imposes different requirements on our products. That's why our products have different certifications – some products, for example, have all four, while the vast majority have three of them.
